Salary: Up to £100,000 Depending on experience + Discretionary Bonus + Additional Corporate Benefits Package

The Client: A leading financial services firm requires a senior application security engineer!

The Role:

As a Senior Application Security Engineer here, you'll sit within CTO, assisting a wide range of delivery teams in engineering secure solutions and protecting our member's money and data. You will work cross-functionally to assess risk and help deliver countermeasures that protect our member's data. This will involve a range of activities, including (but not limited to) threat modelling, selection and configuration of DevSecOps tools, high-level and detailed security designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong technical knowledge - a comprehensive understanding of software engineering principles, system architecture, and contemporary development frameworks.
• Threat modeling, as well as the design and implementation of security controls (either in a cloud environment or on-premises).
• Familiarity with cryptographic primitives and protocols.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, an understanding of the software development lifecycle, software delivery methodologies, and experience with industry-standard tools and techniques for software delivery in an enterprise context (such as version control, CI/CD pipeline, etc.).
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization, Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Collaborative skills and ingenuity with a demonstrated sense of ownership and motivation.

Background:

• Financial services, Consulting preferred but not required.
• Previous experience as a software developer, engineer, designer, etc., is highly desired.
