Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (9 - 12 months)

Location: Edinburgh or Alderley Park (Wilmslow)

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Overview:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Application Portfolio Analyst to join Royal London on a fixed term contract basis for 9 to 12 months (maternity cover). The role provides visibility and insight to application portfolio leaders regarding the costs and risks of operating the Group application portfolio. The role holder will operate and continuously improve tracking and governance processes for costs and risks related to the application estate, including both partner and Group staff. Timely reporting of data, analysis, and escalation of issues as appropriate to application portfolio decision makers.

About the role:

  • Support key stakeholders in managing operation and control of the overall Application Portfolio costs and risks according to defined processes
  • Operate & improve processes relating to control and governance of spend with 3rd party partner staff
  • Establish and maintain governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities for governance and delivery of improvement initiatives, aligning with organizational practices
  • Design, implement, and oversee operational reporting mechanisms to ensure quality reporting across application portfolios and relevant management forums
  • Define standards for operational processes and controls
  • Provide critical analysis to offer insights to key stakeholders
  • Support leaders in managing budgets by providing insights and challenge
  • Facilitate the creation, approval, and ongoing management of Business Cases for operational improvements

About you:

  • Understanding of risk management frameworks

  • Leadership skills with the ability to initiate and embed improvements

  • Experience with Power BI, Oracle, or other ERP systems is desirable but not essential
