Job Description:

We're supporting a global leader in industrial automation as they look to hire an experienced Application Engineer to support their growing customer base across the UK. This is a national, remote-based role focused on the life sciences sector—so we're looking for someone with strong automation experience in that field.

You’ll be the UK go-to expert for technical support, working closely with the sales team and customers to design, adapt, and implement automation solutions across technologies such as robotics, drives, motion control, sensors, and software. If you love solving problems and working on real-world applications, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing:

• Partnering with the sales team to support customers and shape automation solutions
• Running demos, supporting feasibility studies, and advising on technologies
• Designing and developing automation systems tailored to customer needs
• Providing on-site support, training, and troubleshooting as needed
• Acting as the main technical contact for UK life sciences clients
• Staying updated on industry tech and developments

What we’re looking for:

• At least 3 years of automation engineering experience
• Strong background in the life sciences or pharma sectors
• Proficiency in PLC programming and automation systems
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Based in the UK with the right to work; sponsorship not available
• Willingness to travel nationwide
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
