This position will be located in Newport, South Wales, U.K.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enable design wins by providing SiC applications technical support to R&D team and our customers.
  2. Design and drive the enablement of world-class MOSFETs requirements for wide-bandgap (SiC) power products.
  3. Provide feedback to the new product development teams about the customer needs/requirements.
  4. Establish industry best-in-class methodology to test and to characterize SiC power semiconductor in relevant applications.
  5. Solve device design issues and engage with the R&D team.
  6. Collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including R&D, Engineering, Marketing, and academic collaborators.
  7. Generate training materials demonstrations, evaluation boards, and application notes.

Knowledge and Experience You'll Need:

  1. A PhD or Masters-level degree in electronics engineering, physics or any other microelectronics-related field.
  2. At least 5 years of post-graduation experience in the field of wide-bandgap power semiconductor technology (ideally SiC).
  3. Experience in applications of SiC MOSFET both industrial and automotive.
  4. Good understanding of converter topologies, chargers and automotive knowledge.
  5. Background in electronics engineering for system understanding in the field of power electronics.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement and assess viable solutions. Develop and execute comprehensive action plans.
  7. Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities.
  8. Effective communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise.
  9. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Must be able to build rapport with Operations and cross-functional colleagues and be able to foster collaborative relationships.
