Job description

Bentley Systems is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to work in a customer-facing role alongside a team of sales and technical colleagues. The role involves providing the technical expertise needed to win new business and increase usage within existing user organizations. The Senior AE will act as a trusted advisor, assessing prospects' business and technical requirements, and developing solutions to meet those needs.

Your Day-to-Day:

1. Maintain an expert level of product knowledge.
2. Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
3. Perform value and benefit-oriented technical presentations of Bentley products and solutions.
4. Prepare and deliver both overarching solution demonstrations and tailored demonstrations for individual prospects or during marketing events.
5. Work with the wider sales team to identify and analyze business issues and opportunities.
6. Assist Business Development and Sales personnel in technical proposal development for prospects and existing customers.
7. Share your experience and knowledge of user requirements to help product management design and develop new products and services.
8. Develop standard demonstration sets and content for selected products.
9. Transfer knowledge to partners and strengthen the Bentley ecosystem.
10. This is a full-time role based at home, in a UK Bentley office, or hybrid, according to your preference.
11. Travel within the UK and Europe up to 25% of the time on average.

What You Bring To The Team:

1. Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
2. 5+ years of experience managing ProjectWise, BCDE, iTwins, or similar systems.
3. Presentation skills and public speaking experience are desirable.
4. Strong understanding of electronic document management, especially in engineering design.
5. Familiarity with relational databases, including administration, operation, and maintenance with Microsoft SQL Server.
6. Excellent writing skills, responsible for white papers and communicating product details and applications.
7. Ability to convey value and benefits to audiences of varying knowledge and seniority levels.
8. BIM digital workflow experience.
