A leading digital transformation and IT services business is hiring a Senior Application Architect to take ownership of solution design across complex software programmes. This is a strategic, hands-on role that blends cloud and application architecture in a customer-facing delivery environment.

? The Opportunity

This is more than just a cloud architect role. The successful candidate will operate as an internal technical authority, working closely with delivery squads, product owners, and external stakeholders to ensure all architecture is future-proof, scalable, and aligned with internal standards.

You'll be the architect who thinks five steps ahead—pre-empting technical challenges, guiding internal and partner teams, and championing best practices. Whether shaping the integration of legacy APIs at scale or creating reusable toolkits for rapid deployment, your work will underpin mission-critical national projects.

? Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design across large-scale cloud-based and software solutions.
• Translate business goals into technical architecture, working closely with product and delivery teams.
• Build and maintain robust integration frameworks and reusable solution blueprints.
• Provide architectural governance and documentation to ensure consistency across programmes.
• Guide development teams and ensure solutions meet security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Support internal technical maturity and advise on pre-sales and delivery strategy.

? Key Technologies & Experience

• Strong background in application and cloud architecture (AWS or Azure – open to both).
• Prior hands-on experience in software engineering (e.g. development background).
• Proven ability to work across MSPs, IT Services, or consultancy environments.
• Solid grasp of APIs, integration patterns, and architectural governance.
• Able to work in regulated environments—must be eligible for SC Clearance.
