Wave Mobile Money is seeking an experienced security engineer to own our application security and drive a secure, scalable platform. You will partner with product and operations teams to harden systems and protect customer trust across our growing footprint in Africa and beyond.

You’ll work on AI governance, secure agentic workflows, and implement robust controls for APIs and infrastructure. Remote-friendly with competitive compensation and equity.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years of professional experience with at least 3–5 years in a security-focused role.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own application security across Wave's systems.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to harden security posture.
• Define guardrails for AI-powered tooling and secure agentic workflows.
• Review security across APIs and internal tooling.
