Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Laboratory Andrologist to join the Reproductive Medicine Unit Lab at UCLH for a 12-month maternity leave cover. You will diagnose male fertility issues, perform semen analysis, cryopreserve samples, and process TESE samples with autonomy and responsibility.

Qualifications

• Specialist in diagnosing fertility problems and semen analysis.
• Experience with cryopreservation of sperm samples.

Responsibilities

• Assess semen samples to diagnose fertility problems and prepare samples for fertility treatments.
• Handle long-term storage and processing of semen and sperm samples per procedures.
• Attend theatres for sperm surgical retrieval procedures, collect and analyze samples.
• Maintain and safely operate laboratory equipment (microscopes, centrifuges, flow hoods).
• Ensure meticulous record-keeping and compliance with safety regulations.
