Job summary

Salt is recruiting for 6 Android Engineers to join a fast-paced mobile engineering team serving tens of millions of users globally. You will develop and enhance Android apps, work with product, design, QA, and other engineers, and tackle performance and reliability challenges.

You will contribute to modern development practices, CI/CD, and work across legacy and modern codebases in a distributed engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building Android apps with Jetpack Compose and Kotlin.
• Proficient in MVI architecture and modern Android patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin coroutines and Flow.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and using OkHttp.
• Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit/Espresso).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and modern tooling.
• Ability to work across legacy and modern codebases.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop and maintain Android applications.
• Develop and deliver new mobile features.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, QA and engineers.
• Investigate and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD and modern software practices.
• Design solutions to open-ended technical problems.
• Work in a globally distributed engineering environment.
