Job summary

Google London is seeking a Software Engineer III, Android, Jetpack Remote Compose to contribute to the Core Remote Compose platform. You will help build and refine Android UI components and APIs for Jetpack Remote Compose across devices and surfaces.

The role requires solid Android development experience, Kotlin proficiency, and collaboration skills; some roles may involve in-person interviews as part of the hiring process. English proficiency is required for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with Android application development.
• Experience with Kotlin.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other Core Remote Compose team members to build new functionality in the Remote Compose codebase.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across wear, homescreen app widgets, and other form factors to unblock their use of Remote Compose on novel new surfaces with guidance from leads.
• Work and iterate on Application Programming Interface (API) design with input from the team and community.
• Be focused on providing the best user experience for our developer community.
