Job summary

La Fosse is partnering with a fast-growing EV charging business in the UK to hire a Senior Mobile Engineer. The role is cross platform but heavily oriented to Android, with Kotlin as the main focus, and collaboration with two iOS engineers.

You’ll help re-platform the core app, ship high-value features, and enable real-time data sync with backend APIs while delivering high performance on mobile devices. On-site presence is required for collaboration and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping native mobile apps for Android, with strong Kotlin skills.
• Comfortable with iOS tooling and collaboration with iOS engineers.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working and performance profiling.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining high-quality native mobile applications for iOS and Android (Kotlin-heavy).
• Leading Android-focused work with collaboration from an iOS engineer in the team.
• Optimising app performance for speed, memory, and battery life.
• Integrating with REST/GraphQL APIs for real-time data.
• Collaborating with a cross-functional team across disciplines.
• Writing automated tests to ensure stability and quality.
• Contributing to a roadmap of new features as the business scales.
