Qualifications

• Strong background in mobile app development with production-grade Android apps.
• Experience delivering Android apps with modern UI frameworks and design guidelines.
• Solid software development foundation: OO programming, design patterns, and testing.
• Experience integrating Android apps with RESTful APIs, cloud services, and secure data storage.
• Proficient in Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, and libraries such as Jetpack/Gradle.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Track record mentoring/leading developers and contributing to architecture and code quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in London for a Senior Android Developer. The Senior Android Developer will design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications that integrate with Insightful Technology’s SaaS and data platforms. Responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define requirements, implement features, and optimise performance. The role also involves writing clean, testable code, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring applications meet security, usability, and accessibility standards. The developer will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor less experienced developers, and stay current with emerging Android technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience delivering production-grade Mobile Applications.
• Proficiency in Android Development and Android Design, including modern UI frameworks and design guidelines.
• Solid background in Software Development, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and testing.
