Job Description:
We are currently recruiting to support the development of Low Observable (LO) sensors for integration on future airborne platforms.
As an experienced Antenna Engineer, you will be working with a specialist team, where you will develop your knowledge and expertise in applying Electromagnetic principles to the design of the antennas that are part of the sensor suite for low observable and other airborne platforms.
You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a wide range of technical experts in the wider areas of antenna design, mechanical engineering and material science, not only within Leonardo, but also from the wider partnership. You will be involved in various stages of development from the concept stage through hardware design, development, manufacture, and design proving and measurement. You will be able to develop an exciting and fulfilling career within our Antenna team and gain exposure to current and novel technologies within this field.
Career development opportunities may include development into a technical specialist role, or the chance to lead a team (or both). A mixture of formal and on-the-job training will be available to introduce new concepts and build on existing skills and experience.
Due to the nature of this role, in order to obtain full SC security clearance (with access to UK Eyes Only and ITAR export controlled material), any candidate being considered must be a sole UK National also willing/able to secure more enhanced clearances as needed by the projects.
