As a Senior Anatomical Pathology Technologist, you will oversee the daily operations of Westminster's Public Mortuary, supporting bereaved families and maintaining health and safety standards. Your responsibilities include managing a team of APTs, handling post-mortem examinations, documenting samples, and collaborating with partners such as Pathologists, the Coroner’s Court, funeral directors, and the Police. You will also act as the Person Designate for the Human Tissue Authority and contribute to disaster planning for mass fatalities.
You should be a qualified Anatomical Pathology Technologist with experience in forensic and high-risk post-mortem casework, possessing a minimum of RSPH Level 3 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology, with a willingness to attain Level 4. Strong leadership, communication skills, flexibility, and IT literacy are essential.
