Job summary

Lendable in the United Kingdom is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to strengthen our analytical foundation for the US Loans team. You’ll work with analysts, product, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to shape data modelling, ETL, and data availability across the company.

You’ll own data models, drive dbt development, define patterns, mentor teammates, and partner with data platform teams to ensure scalable, high-quality data while enabling faster insight delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with ELT pipelines and transformation at scale using dbt.
• Excellent stakeholder management with technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong data modelling skills for reliable analytic datasets.
• Good judgement balancing long-term improvements with day-to-day needs.
• Ability to spot inefficiencies in data workflows and improve them independently.
• Comfort using AI tools to move faster and improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve data models supporting lending decisions, pricing, portfolio analysis, and investor reporting.
• Drive the development of dbt models and transformation layer with analysts and stakeholders.
• Define modelling patterns, architecture, and standards across the analytics engineering layer.
• Support analysts at different levels to build stronger engineering habits and data skills.
• Bridge between analysts, backend engineers, product teams, and data platform teams to ensure data is generated, modelled, and used effectively.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost of the transformation pipeline over time.
• Scale our data infrastructure to support a rapidly growing business.
