Retail Insight in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to shape data modelling, governance, and delivery across the business. You will lead technical initiatives to build AI-ready analytics solutions powering decisions for teams and clients.

Qualifications

Proven experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar role.
Advanced SQL skills and cloud experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
Strong dbt and modern data modelling expertise.
Python for automation and data manipulation.
Experience with BI/visualisation platforms and data governance.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain scalable data models using dbt and SQL.
Build and maintain trusted semantic layers and metric definitions.
Explore and implement AI-powered analytics solutions, including automated insight generation and AI agents.
Partner with Customer Success to address business problems through data.
Improve performance, efficiency, and reliability of analytics workflows.
Mentor Analytics Engineers and Analysts.
Champion governance, documentation, and quality standards.
Deliver high-impact, data-driven outcomes for the business and clients.
