Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics Engineering team in London.
Your Mission
Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world’s first platform to offer true multi-currency banking. Your mission is to help us build better products, faster by making it easy for Wisers to get insights from data.
At Wise, we have 170+ Analysts and 3k+ weekly active users of our Business Intelligence Tools. Analytics Engineers at Wise ensure that it is easy to find trustable data and retrieve it quickly.
Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the Analytics Experience team
Our team is committed to improving data user productivity while keeping costs sustainable.
You will work closely with Analysts at Wise.
You will focus on establishing basic infrastructure, monitoring, testing & best practices by mentoring analysts and creating a data infrastructure roadmap for the tribe.
You will support building core datasets and become the go-to expert for new data tooling and best practices, helping others adopt them.
You will assess and implement data modeling best practices at Wise in your tribe.

Qualifications
What we are looking for
A great communicator & an expert in cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to build empathy for stakeholders and customers and proactively solve problems.
Experience in project management and prioritization.
Strong storytelling ability with data.
Experience using orchestration tools like Airflow.
Expertise in SQL & transformation pipeline building.
Good to great Python skills (CI checks, dbt Airflow integration, interacting with APIs).
Driver of best practices regarding BI Tools like Looker or Superset.
