Senior Analytical Scientist

Location: Oxfordshire

The Opportunity: Our client is a growing Life Science company based in Oxfordshire, currently looking to expand their R&D team with a Senior Analytical Scientist. This full-time role will support the development of innovative vaccine delivery approaches.

The Role: As an Analytical Scientist, you will support ongoing R&D projects, providing analytical support for pharmaceutical development of mRNA-loaded particles. Core responsibilities include:

  1. Develop and apply analytical characterization methods
  2. Support analytical method development and validation for techniques such as HPLC, DLS, Gel Electrophoresis, Western Blot
  3. Interpret and present analytical data to support R&D projects
  4. Update standard operating protocols (SOPs) as required
  5. Perform additional QC testing and equipment calibration

Qualifications:

  • Experience in analysis and characterization of lipids, biopolymers, or complex molecular systems
  • Experience with HPLC, LCMS, UV-Vis, FTIR, etc.
  • Experience in GMP or ISO accredited labs
  • Experience with nanoparticle emulsions, micelles, lipids, or nucleotides is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
