Role Overview: The role will be an integral part of the Technical Team within the Laboratory. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing samples using various analytical techniques on a daily basis.

Required Skills and Experience:

• IT literacy
• Strong numeracy skills, including calculating and tabulating results
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey processes, results, and key messages effectively, and to build rapport quickly
• Knowledge of scientific and analytical systems, procedures, regulatory standards, and research/regulatory instructions
• Understanding of safety procedures, laboratory standards, handling chemicals, and COSHH regulations
• Degree in a relevant science field or significant relevant industry experience
• Previous laboratory experience in a similar role
• Customer-focused attitude
• Good knowledge of the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry and experience with GxP standards

About the Opportunity: This role offers the chance to develop your skills in a monitored environment and gain experience with various techniques.

Key Activities:

• Practical training in multiple techniques, capable of generating data, recognizing artefacts, and raising issues with ideas for investigation
• Experience in conducting laboratory investigations
• Ability to follow complex methods requiring interpretation or deviation from standard practices
• Exposure to clients’ products and processes, with support to work directly with clients
• Problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
• Occasional direct communication with clients for standard requests, with work primarily assigned through supervisors
• Ability to plan own time over extended periods, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Interest in activities outside the main role, such as training or SOP writing
