Job summary

Scope Ratings is seeking motivated analysts to join the Monitoring & Methodology team within Scope’s Structured Finance Ratings group. The Senior Analyst role targets 3–5 years of structured finance experience and an interest in surveillance, methodologies and models across asset classes.

You will assess performance of rated transactions, develop analytical tools, contribute to rating methodologies, and support high-quality credit research.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in structured finance or closely related sectors.
• Independent thinker with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Accountable, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
• Detail‑oriented with strong data quality and consistency.
• Able to identify risks, interpret data and form independent credit opinions.
• Solid understanding of securitization structures and cash‑flow dynamics.
• Proficiency with quantitative tools and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English.
• Programming (Python, R, VBA) and data visualization skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct performance reviews of structured finance transactions and articulate credit opinions clearly.
• Serve as a voting member in rating committees.
• Contribute to updates of structured finance methodologies.

Scope Ratings is seeking motivated analysts at various experience levels to join the Monitoring & Methodology team within Scope’s Structured Finance Ratings group. The Senior Analyst role is ideal for analysts with 3 to 5 years of structured finance experience and a strong interest in surveillance, methodologies and models across all asset classes.

You will play a key role in assessing the performance of rated transactions, developing analytical tools, supporting the ongoing enhancement of our rating methodologies, and contributing to high‑quality credit research. This position offers a strong long‑term career path for high‑performing analysts, combining hands‑on analytical work in the structured finance domain with opportunities to deepen technical expertise in programming, modelling, and data analysis.

Duties & responsibilities

Professional & personal qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in the structured finance sector or closely related sectors

• Inquisitive and detail‑oriented, with strong commitment to data quality and consistency
• Strong ability to identify key risks, interpret data, understand complex transaction documentation, and form independent credit opinions
• Solid understanding of securitization structures, cash‑flow dynamics, workflows, and contractual and legal frameworks
• Proficiency with quantitative tools (e.g. cash flow modelling tools, statistical databases, data visualization tools) and MS Office computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are highly valued
• Fluency in English
• Technical skills such as programming (Python, R, VBA), Power BI dashboard development, databases (SQL, Databricks), cloud environments (Azure), version control tools (Git) are a plus

Compensation range: Pay Band SA – Structured Finance Minimum £60,000.00 Maximum £78,000.00
