Job description

Job Description

Macquarie Capital's Infra and Energy Capital invests Macquarie's balance sheet to provide flexible capital to operating companies, projects and assets across its three major verticals: Digital Infrastructure, Social and Economic Infrastructure, and Energy Transition. With staff presence and a portfolio spanning the Americas, EMEA and APAC, this team has an exceptional track record and long history as one of Macquarie's most dynamic entrepreneurial businesses.

At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 34 markets and with 55 years of unbroken profitability. You'll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Analyst or Associate in the Infra and Energy Capital team, you will play a key role in the investment of equity and structured capital from Macquarie's balance sheet into infrastructure opportunities. The role involves assessing principal investment opportunities, building financial models, conducting due diligence, market and industry research, negotiating commercial contracts, preparing investment memoranda and other materials for internal and external stakeholders, as well as supporting the technical, research and development aspects across all three verticals. In addition to evaluating new investment opportunities, you will also be involved in managing the existing portfolio which includes working directly with portfolio company management teams, evaluating add-on investments, refinancings, recapitalisation, and divestitures in order to recycle capital for new investment opportunities.

What you offer

  • 2-4+ years' of experience in financial services or industry across infrastructure, infrastructure funds, private equity or investment banking or related industry field. A background in Engineering, Mathematics, Management and Sciences will also be considered.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the credibility and professional polish to represent the infrastructure business both internally and externally at the most senior levels.
  • Flexible, entrepreneurial, and innovative.

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us. If you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie, we encourage you to apply.
