Job description

Senior Analyst - Financial Crime Compliance (London)

The team

The Financial Crime Compliance Team (FCC Team) is part of Saffery's wider risk management regime, which includes the new client onboarding function.

This role is based in our London office and requires the successful candidate to be within commuting distance to attend the office at least 2 times per week.

The role

Training relevant to our organisation will be provided (e.g., systems, policies, and procedures). The successful applicant will support junior team members and should be proficient in:

  1. Completing new client due diligence procedures to ensure prospective clients are suitable.
  2. Researching with third-party tools and systems as part of KYC procedures.
  3. Documenting and analysing KYC information to validate client data and assess risks.
  4. Engaging with stakeholders, including client-facing teams, to obtain missing or non-public information.
  5. Executing procedures for the firm's KYC ongoing monitoring processes, including escalation for management approval.
  6. The candidate will report to the FCC Manager.

You

Experience in client onboarding / CDD, preferably in the accountancy or legal sector, is required. We seek candidates with:

  1. An enthusiastic approach to personal and team development, with the ability to see beyond the obvious.
  2. Strong information digestion skills, high standards, motivation, and confidence to work independently with support as needed.
  3. Adaptability and open-mindedness when plans change.
  4. Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with high-level stakeholders via various communication channels.
  5. Proficiency in multiple IT applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  6. Strong literacy and numeracy skills with high attention to detail.
  7. The ability to meet KPIs and deadlines without compromising quality.
  8. Ability to understand and articulate complex information clearly.

Salary/benefits

  • 35-hour workweek with flexible core hours (10am-4pm).
  • Option to work from home up to 3 days per week under the agile working policy.
