Smithers Group is seeking a Senior Analyst for its Medical Device Testing division in the UK. The role focuses on extractables and leachables testing within a dynamic chemistry team, delivering high-quality analytical results.

The ideal candidate will have strong GC-MS/LC-MS expertise, method development skills, and experience mentoring junior staff, while ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and cGMP standards in a global organization.

We are excited to offer a permanentopportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our growing Chemistry Department. This role will primarily focus on extractables and leachables testing and is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain GC-MS or LC-MS instrumentation.
• Interpret complex qualitative data from GC-MS or LC-MS analyses.
• Develop and troubleshoot chromatographic methods.
• Mentor and coach junior staff members.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, such as ISO 17025 and cGMP.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven expertise with GC-MS or LC-MS technologies.
• Strong background in chromatographic method development and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in small molecule identification, mass spectrometry, or metabolite identification (Met-ID) is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
