Job summary

Houlihan Lokey is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate for the Industrials team in London or Manchester. The role focuses on financial analysis, modelling, due diligence, and preparing memoranda and presentations for client engagements.

You will value companies, lead marketing efforts, and supervise junior staff. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in M&A advisory within the Industrials sector, strong valuation skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Strong academic track record and a 2:1 or equivalent degree.
• 2–4 years of investment banking experience within M&A Advisory is preferred, with Industrials experience a plus.
• Foundation in financial valuation methodologies and applications.
• Advanced financial and analytical capabilities including LBO and DCF modelling.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial statement analysis.
• Independent thinker capable of solving complex problems.
• Able to multitask and work with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment.

The Industrials team at Houlihan Lokey is looking to add a Senior Analyst or Associate in London or Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and help explain historical and projected financial information.
• Create financial models.
• Coordinate and perform business due diligence.
• Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations.
• Value companies and businesses.
• Lead the planning and execution of marketing engagements.
• Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients, professional advisors and other stakeholders.
• Supervise junior staff members in financial analyses.
• Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements.

Requirements / Qualifications

• You will have a strong academic track record and achieved a 2:1 or equivalent degree.
• 2-4 years of investment banking experience within M&A Advisory. Experience in the Industrials sector favourable.
• Fundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies, and applications.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical abilities; strong LBO and DCF modelling skills.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
• Understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
• Strong knowledge of Excel.
• Independent thinker and resourceful problem solver driven to succeed.
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask is crucial.
