Job summary

Fame Recruitment in Central London is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to own complex lending transactions, contribute to credit decisions and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business.

You will underwrite enquiries, perform due diligence, analyse cash flows and present credit recommendations to the committee, shaping portfolio performance and lending strategy.

Qualifications

• A degree in a business-related, finance, economics, property or equivalent discipline; a 2:1 or above would be advantageous.
• Proven experience in property finance, lending, credit analysis or underwriting.
• Strong understanding of property-backed lending, loan structuring, LTV calculations and credit risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and property-related information.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite lending enquiries from brokers and borrowers, evaluating the commercial viability and risks of each transaction.
• Conduct detailed due diligence on properties, comparable transactions, cost plans, borrower financials and business appraisals.
• Analyse financial information, cash flows, security values and loan structures to formulate lending recommendations.
• Prepare credit papers and present recommendations to the credit committee.
• Structure transactions and prepare indicative terms in line with the business's lending criteria.
• Manage relationships with brokers, borrowers, valuers, solicitors and other professional advisers throughout the lending process.
• Attend borrower meetings and conduct detailed research to support lending decisions.
• Prepare management presentations, portfolio analysis and internal loan book reviews.
• Monitor existing loans, identify emerging risks and support effective portfolio management.

As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join their lending team.
