Job summary

MintNeuro is a deep-tech startup developing ultra-low-power neural interface ICs in a hybrid London setting. We seek a Senior Analogue/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to own subsystems from architecture to silicon validation, enabling implantable neurotechnology.

You will design blocks, validate chips, and optimize power, noise, and area while collaborating with a small, highly skilled team and moving multiple tape-outs forward.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Electronic Engineering or related field with ~5+ years experience.
• Strong experience in low-power analogue or mixed-signal IC design.
• Proven track record from specification to tapeout and silicon validation.
• Solid understanding of noise, mismatch, and power–performance trade-offs.
• Experience with standard IC design tools (e.g. Cadence Virtuoso).
• Experience with mixed-signal simulation (e.g. Verilog-A/AMS).
• Experience with ultra-low-power or biomedical circuits.
• Knowledge of power management or full-chip integration.

Responsibilities

• Design mixed-signal ICs for neural interfaces, from architecture to silicon validation.
• Develop and verify analogue/mixed-signal blocks (front-ends, references, data converters).
• Contribute to full-chip integration, tapeout, and post-silicon characterisation.
• Optimise system performance across power, noise, and area trade-offs.
• Explore and implement novel circuit techniques for implantable systems.
