Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking to appoint a Consultant in Anaesthetics to join the team at Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth. The role requires GMC registration or CCT within six months, and the post includes on‑call duties with a band 3 supplement.

Qualifications

• Full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council.
• On the GMC Specialist Register or will have CCT within six months of interview.
• Valid Certified Advanced Life Support.
• Welsh Speaker (Level 1).

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive anaesthesia service for general, orthopaedic, gynaecological, obstetric and ophthalmic surgery, including elective and urgent cases.
• Arrange theatre sessions across specialties in consultation with the successful applicant.
• Operate a fully flexible consultant rota with daytime ICU sessions and on-call cover seven days a week, including on‑call from home.
• On-call duties attract a band 3 supplement and are on a rolling rota at Bronglais General Hospital.
