Qualifikationen

• Significant post-registration nursing experience in an acute clinical environment.
• Experience within an Acute Medical Unit or similar high-acuity setting is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Lead the nursing team during shifts and allocate staff according to patient needs and acuity.
• Coordinate patient flow including admissions, transfers and discharges; escalate delays as needed.
• Assess and prioritise patients; ensure deteriorating or high-risk patients receive prompt attention.
• Oversee safe patient care including medication administration, observations and care planning.
• Support and supervise junior staff, students and healthcare assistants; manage staffing issues and redeployment.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams, patients and relatives to maintain continuity of care.
