Join our growing team at SEI and take the next step in your career. We are looking for a Senior AML Specialist, responsible for the AML Operations pertaining to our Offshore business.

What you will do:

  • Act as the First Line of Defence within AML Operations
  • Analyse client and customer data to complete AML processes
  • Responsible for the running of the AML Operations for our Offshore business in Guernsey
  • Act as oversight and query management for the Internal Audit and Fin Crime teams

Responsibilities:

  • Transaction monitoring - monitor and clear Transaction alerts daily, ensuring management are aware of any outstanding alerts and close of business
  • Conduct analysis of results within our screening system to refine parameters, and minimize false positives
  • Gathering and analysing direct client, and customer information to complete the AML process
  • Conducting risk assessments on new direct clients, and periodic assessments on existing clients using the Client Risk Assessment tool
  • Communicating with direct clients to obtain missing documentation or data
  • Be the point of contact for all internal audit and regulatory enquiries
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of high-risk direct clients/customers and reporting any changes in risk levels, ensuring updates to risk registers
  • Create, manage and execute a sales plan
  • Identify opportunities to introduce and cross sell other SEI services, including technology and operations capabilities
  • Effectively work with asset management Solutions and Marketing teams
  • Keep current - (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc) and maintain ongoing and effective communication of these with clients where appropriate
  • Adhere to all relevant FCA requirements and compliance, completing all necessary training within the required timeframe
  • Familiarise yourself with Financial Promotions regulations and ensure that all financial promotions materials used have gone through the appropriate compliance approval processes (as a second line of defence with the individual representing the first line through close knowledge of the financial promotions requirements)
  • Any other ad-hoc projects as required

What we need from you:

  • Experience working in AML/Compliance roles in the financial services industry, specifically with exposure to business in Guernsey
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills to actively engage with senior Management, Compliance and Fin Crime
  • Deep technical understanding of the AML regulations and the procedures related to the 1st line of defense responsibilities
