JMC Aviation is working with an FBO company based in Stansted, seeking to recruit a Senior Aircraft Mechanic to join their team.

This client is renowned for outstanding service in their FBO facility. As a family-run business with decades of experience, they aim for excellence through their skilled workforce, providing in-house engineering and support services for business jets.

This is a permanent position based in Stansted.

Working hours:
5/5/4 shift pattern from 07:00 to 19:00.

The Role:

The Senior Aircraft Mechanic supports Licensed Engineers with aircraft maintenance within a designated zone. They may deputise for the Licensed Engineer, overseeing their zone and liaising with hangar supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Executing maintenance tasks as directed by the Licensed Engineer, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Adhering to company and health and safety procedures.
• Managing contract staff with clear instructions and briefings, ensuring compliance with the quality system outlined in the company MOE.
• Organising and controlling labor within their area of responsibility in coordination with the Licensed Engineer.
• Raising work cards and requisitions as directed.
• Carrying out and supervising aircraft towing using company tug equipment, and reporting progress through written reports and meetings.

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Completion of a recognized aircraft mechanic apprenticeship.
• Computer literacy, including ERP software and Microsoft Office.
• Full clean UK driving license.
