Right Now Group are recruiting for a Senior Air Export Operator to join a well-established and expanding Freight Forwarder based in West Drayton, near Heathrow.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy and experienced Air Export Team handling a wide range of specialist cargo including Military, AOG, Live Fish, Human Remains, and Cars. Due to a long-standing team member relocating abroad, this role offers the chance to join a stable, close-knit department within a company that continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Handle Air Export shipments from start to finish in a 360° capacity.
• Manage specialist and time-critical consignments including AOG, Military, Live Animals/Fish, Human Remains, and Automotive shipments.
• Complete all necessary export documentation including MAWB's, HAWB's, and export customs entries.
• Liaise closely with airlines, hauliers, and clients to ensure shipments move smoothly and on schedule.
• Book shipments based on customer requests via telephone and email.
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers regarding routing, delays, and delivery schedules.
• Support the wider airfreight team and management as required, with occasional assistance on import shipments.
• Ensure all shipments comply with aviation security and export regulations.
• Use Multifreight to process and manage shipments.
• Participate in a shared on-call rota to assist with out-of-hours shipments.

Qualifications

• Has strong Air Export experience within a freight forwarding environment.
• Ideally has exposure to specialist cargo such as AOG, Military, Live Animals, or similar (training will be provided for the right candidate).
• Is positive, motivated, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in specialist export work.
• Possesses excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines effectively.
• Demonstrates great attention to detail and a strong team ethic.
• Fits well within a professional, experienced, and mature team environment.

What’s On Offer

• Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)
• Shift: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 09:00 - 17:30 (flexibility required)
• Additional Information: On-call duty shared on a rota basis (no additional allowance - considered part of the role)
