Job summary

GCHQ, based in the UK, is seeking outstanding AI technologists to research and develop agentic AI solutions that bolster national cyber security. You will work across the NCSC and other departments to apply AI safely and effectively, delivering tangible outcomes while navigating complex environments.

You’ll contribute to evaluating, securing and deploying AI capabilities, collaborating with engineers, researchers and cyber specialists.

Qualifications

• Solid technical foundation with ability to understand, evaluate and apply emerging technologies.
• Experience in at least two of: software development, systems architecture design, technical research and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Research and build agentic AI solutions to improve national cyber security.
• Evaluate, secure and deploy AI systems across diverse environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams within GCHQ and NCSC to shape AI strategy and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership on complex, mission‑critical challenges.
