Job summary

Roku is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Ads Customer Interfaces team. You will design and build scalable web applications and AI-powered features, working across a cross-functional group including UX, engineering, dev-ops, QA and product management.

You’ll contribute to a containerized platform using modern web technologies and AI tooling, with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and scalable cloud-based solutions. This is a senior role with high impact.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks.
• Experience building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems.
• Proficient in CI/CD and related tooling (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab).
• Knowledge of AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.
• Hands-on with RAG or LLM-based chatbots is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Secure engineering practices and web security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality web applications and back-end services.
• Collaborate with UX, software engineering, dev-ops, QA, and product management.
• Integrate AI-powered features into web apps and enterprise tools.
• Develop and optimize RAG solutions for chatbot interactions.
• Plan, refine features, and contribute to system design.
