Job summary

Roku is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to its containerized web platform, combining modern web tech with AI to build scalable, reliable cloud-based applications. You’ll work across frontend and backend services, delivering high-impact features used by millions of TV streamers.

You’ll join a team focused on performance, reliability, and innovative AI-enabled workflows, collaborating with cross-functional partners across the Ads Customer Interfaces team.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web frameworks (React, Next.js, Angular, Node.js, Express) on cloud-based tech (AWS/GCP).
Experience building large-scale, low-latency distributed systems and cloud-native services.
Familiar with AI-assisted workflows, RAG or LLMs, and secure engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deliver high-quality web applications and back-end services.
Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, DevOps, QA, and product management.
Build and integrate AI-powered features into web apps and enterprise tools.
