Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer focused on AI Security to lead the security strategy for AI systems and agentic workflows. You will define secure development practices, build controls, and establish governance to ensure AI initiatives are safe and compliant.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Security to implement robust AI security measures, conduct risk assessments, and publish research to advance responsible AI security in the fintech space.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Security Engineering experience with depth in at least two domains (Product/Cloud/SOC) and hands-on AI/ML security experience.
• Solid understanding of AI and LLM security concepts (prompt injection, data poisoning, model extraction).
• Experience securing agentic AI systems (sandboxing, permission scoping, runtime monitoring).
• Cloud security across AWS/GCP/Azure, CI/CD security, container/Kubernetes security, IAM, API security.
• Threat modeling with frameworks like STRIDE, MITRE ATLAS, OWASP LLM Top 10.

Responsibilities

• Drive the AI security strategy and roadmap for Ripple's AI systems.
• Design and implement security controls for AI-enabled workflows and agentic systems.
• Own AI security across the AI SDLC with guardrails, provenance, reviews, and audit trails.
• Lead security reviews and risk assessments of AI integrations into production environments.
• Build and scale Shadow AI detection and enforce AI acceptable use policies.
