Job summary

Bupa seeks an experienced security professional to lead AI & Data Security Architecture across the organisation. You will define security standards, guide responsible AI adoption and protect sensitive data while balancing innovation and risk.

Collaboration with senior leaders, architects, engineers and clinical stakeholders is essential to embed security into AI initiatives. You will lead threat modelling, reviews and governance, with expertise in Azure, AI Foundry and cloud security, and you

Qualifications

• Significant leadership in security architecture or enterprise security.
• Strong track record securing AI, ML and cloud services.
• Expert knowledge of Azure, Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry and cloud security principles.
• Experience leading threat modelling and security reviews.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001/ISO 42001 and OWASP AI security guidance.
• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, financial services, government).
• Excellent communication and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define secure AI adoption patterns and security standards across Bupa.
• Lead threat modelling and security reviews for AI-enabled solutions.
• Develop governance frameworks and controls for safe AI adoption.
• Set security requirements for AI platforms, APIs, and cloud-based AI services.
• Identify and manage risks from unsanctioned AI usage.
• Provide guidance on AI security and emerging threats.
• Partner with tech, data, legal, clinical and risk teams to embed security into AI initiatives.
• Present security recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Assess AI suppliers from security and data protection perspectives.
• Contribute to security standards and reference architectures.
