We’re working with an exciting AI Ed-tech start-up in London that’s transforming the educational experience. Fresh from securing Seed funding and backed by one of the world’s leading VCs, they have established a founding team with backgrounds from major tech companies and world-renowned universities like Oxford and Cambridge.

This Research Engineering role combines system design, prototyping, and development. The systems built will include machine learning, generative AI, and applied maths approaches as you solve problems for online self-directed learners.

What you’ll need:

• Proven track record in software development with machine learning and computational mathematics in research-focused environments
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python expertise
• Experience building innovative products from concept to deployment (e.g., working as a research engineer on cutting-edge product development)
• Hands-on experience in architecting and implementing systems that incorporate large language model workflows
• Strong capability to break down strategic business goals into executable technical plans with clear deliverables
• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, or a related quantitative field
