Job summary

Wave Group in London is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to own the foundational AI infrastructure, including hosting and serving ML/GenAI models at scale within a hybrid setup. You will lead the LLM gateway standardisation, monitoring and quota management, while building robust frameworks and integrating third-party AI tools.

The role requires hands-on cloud and Kubernetes expertise, with a strong emphasis on scale, cost control and Responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Strong platform and cloud engineering background with experience hosting ML/GenAI models.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based applications and related tooling.
• Ability to work across Data Science, Engineering, Product and Security teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building cloud infrastructure for hosting and serving ML and GenAI models at scale.
• Owning the LLM gateway, standardising usage, monitoring, cost control and quotas.
• Developing frameworks and tooling for consistent AI development.
• Integrating third-party AI tools and agent frameworks.
• Shaping Responsible AI practices into the platform from day one.
