Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build and support AI-powered customer experiences within the ICP platform. You will work on production-grade machine learning and agentic AI solutions, focusing on Conversational AI, AI Search and personalized engagement.

Collaborating with Product, AI Engineering and Platform teams, you will advance LLM, RAG and agent-based capabilities, ensuring secure, scalable, and responsible AI across customer journeys.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP) and AI services like Vertex AI or similar.
• Experience building and deploying AI-powered customer experiences (LLM-based, genAI).
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Awareness of Responsible AI, model governance, risk management and security in production.
• Applied AI/ML and GenAI with patterns like RAG, tool use, guardrails, and agents.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and software delivery best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement LLM and agentic AI solutions for customer interactions.
• Build, test, deploy and monitor AI-powered features in production.
• Collaborate with AI Engineering, Platform and Product teams across the lifecycle.
• Ensure responsible AI, governance and risk considerations throughout development.
• Contribute to experimentation, prototyping and production deployment with MLOps/LLMOps practices.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to improve engineering quality.
