Job summary

The Citation Group is seeking a hands-on software engineer to join a squad driving a major platform transformation. You will contribute across the full stack, help shift to CI/CD, and embed AI-native practices into day-to-day development.

You will work alongside a Tech Lead to raise engineering standards and deliver high-quality software. You will help decompose shared services into team-owned components, advance automated testing, and contribute to platform observability and DevOps maturity.

Qualifications

• Delivery of complex features on production systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and containerisation.
• Demonstrated use of AI as part of the engineering workflow.
• Secure coding practices and vulnerability awareness.

Responsibilities

• Write production-quality code across the full stack (backend, frontend, and infra).
• Take ownership of features from design through deployment, delivering shippable software.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions with practical input.
• Run spikes and proofs-of-concept to explore approaches before committing to direction.
• Maintain and improve the codebase with responsible technical debt management.
