Job summary

SEGA Europe is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and deploy AI-powered solutions across the data platform. You will work with SEGA studios and global teams to embed AI, LLMs and RAG into business workflows, using Databricks, MCP and modern AI frameworks.

Collaboration with Data Eng, Analytics and stakeholders is essential for scalable impact. You will evangelise AI, establish standards, and translate complex AI concepts for technical and non-technical audiences while pursuing

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing AI, ML or data-driven software solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL development skills.
• Experience with Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama).
• Experience building AI apps using LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel or LlamaIndex.
• Experience developing AI agents, RAG, and integrating AI into enterprise apps.
• Experience with Databricks or equivalent cloud AI platforms.
• Experience integrating AI with enterprise systems via APIs or MCP.
• Understanding of vector databases, embeddings & semantic search.
• Knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI practices.
• Strong communication to explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy AI-powered apps using LLMs, agents and modern AI frameworks.
• Develop agentic AI and RAG solutions leveraging enterprise data.
• Utilise Databricks AI capabilities to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
• Configure AI services into business systems and developer workflows (MCP).
• Evaluate emerging AI tech and identify productivity gains.
• Develop AI governance, prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data Eng and Analytics to integrate AI into data pipelines and dashboards.
• Evangelise AI across the organisation via demos and workshops.
• Be the knowledge steward for AI architecture and best practices across SEGA Europe.
• Pursue continuous learning and experimentation in AI advancements.
