Comply in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior AI Data Engineer to turn semantic data models into knowledge graphs, vector search, and LLM-powered pipelines. You will own the delivery of semantic layer components, collaborating with data engineers, architects, ontologists, and consumer teams.

This role emphasizes scalable semantic layers, JSON-LD, and AI-ready data products. You will ensure reliability, performance, and adoption across the platform, driving DataOps and observability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering with semantic or AI data infrastructure.
• Experience building knowledge graphs or graph databases (e.g., Jena Fuseki, Neo4j, Neptune).
• Experience with vector databases and embedding pipelines (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector).
• Practical experience implementing RAG architectures or LLM-integrated data pipelines.
• Familiarity with semantic web standards—JSON-LD, RDF, OWL, or SKOS.
• Strong Python skills and data pipeline framework experience.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Implement JSON-LD-based semantic models from our ontologist into production data systems.
• Develop and manage graph database schemas, queries, and ingestion pipelines.
• Design and implement embedding pipelines that represent data in vector space.
• Build and operate vector database infrastructure for semantic search and similarity retrieval.
• Implement RAG architectures that ground LLM outputs in our data and evaluate tooling.
• Build observable data pipelines with DataOps practices from ingestion to consumption.
• Embed semantic models into APIs and data contracts to scale with data volume.
