Job summary

Metrica Recruitment is seeking a senior architect to shape AI-ready data platforms and cloud transformations across AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will design scalable, secure, cost-efficient cloud data platforms and modernise legacy systems for real-time data and intelligent decisioning.

You’ll advise clients on AI strategy, data roadmaps and governance, while contributing to delivery through PoCs, MVPs and early-stage solution design in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Strong background in cloud, data or AI architecture roles.
• Hands-on experience across AWS, Azure or GCP platforms.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, serverless or cloud-native tooling.
• Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Consulting or client-facing experience with strong communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical ideas into business outcomes.

Step into a pivotal role shaping how enterprise organisations design, build and scale AI-ready data platforms. You’ll lead architecture decisions that directly influence cloud transformation, AI adoption and modern digital operating models across complex environments.

You’ll be joining a leading technology and consulting practice that specialises in large-scale data, cloud and AI transformation. The team works with major UK and global organisations across public sector, financial services, telecoms and retail, helping them move from legacy estates to modern, cloud-native and AI-enabled architectures. Projects are highly varied, often at enterprise scale, and focus on solving real-world challenges around data, automation, governance and intelligent decisioning. About the Role

This is a senior architecture role where you’ll sit at the centre of AI and data transformation programmes. You’ll design scalable, secure and cost-efficient cloud data platforms across AWS, Azure or GCP, ensuring they are ready to support both traditional analytics and emerging agentic AI workloads. You’ll work across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, modernising legacy systems into cloud-native architectures that support real-time data, automation and intelligent decisioning.

Alongside hands‑on architecture design, you’ll play a key advisory role with clients, shaping AI strategy, data roadmaps and governance frameworks. You’ll help define how organisations embed responsible AI, manage risk, and operationalise data at scale. You’ll also contribute to delivery through proof of concepts, MVPs and early-stage solution design, often helping clients move from concept to production.
