Job summary

RedTech Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Security Researcher for a role spanning AI and cybersecurity. The position offers hybrid work with at least two days in the office in Cambridge or London.

The salary ranges from £50,000 to £90,000 per year, depending on experience, with excellent benefits including private medical insurance, pension, life insurance and enhanced family leave.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Cybersecurity, CS, AI or related field.
• Strong Cybersecurity knowledge and attacker techniques.
• Networking and network security fundamentals.
• Generative AI security threats awareness.
• Experience researching threats across networks, endpoints, cloud or containers.
• Linux knowledge and security tools familiarity.
• Certifications such as CCNA or Linux Essentials are a plus.
• SOC experience would be beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Academic researchers with strong practical cybersecurity knowledge encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging cybersecurity threats affecting AI technologies.
• Investigate attacker techniques and potential vulnerabilities.
• Conduct technical research and prototype security ideas.
• Collaborate with engineering and AI teams to implement security capabilities.
• Analyze findings and provide clear recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date with cybersecurity and AI security developments.
