Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions is recruiting a Senior Performance Engineer to join an AI infrastructure initiative based in Cambridge on a hybrid basis. You will sit between research and engineering, building models that translate raw training/inference telemetry into actionable answers about cost and performance.

You'll bring a track record of GPU/accelerator optimization, Python data work, and experience with profiling and monitoring toolchains.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field.
• Experience building performance models that forecast system behavior.
• Hands-on GPU/accelerator code optimization (CUDA or similar).
• Understanding of LLMs and DL hardware, training vs inference.

Responsibilities

• Develop models and calculators to quantify training/inference performance.
• Assess profitability of architecture changes and accelerator choices.
• Provide insights that influence purchasing and system design decisions.
• Collaborate between research and engineering teams.
