Job summary

Moody's Corporation is seeking a senior contributor to design, build, and operate backend services and AI-powered features for Moody's intelligent data products within the Digital Content and Innovation organization. You will own features end to end, from design to deployment, including data pipelines and inference workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience designing, coding, testing, and operating backend services.
• Strong coding proficiency in TypeScript, Python, C#, or similar tech, with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Practical experience building enterprise AI apps using LLMs, agents, RAG, orchestration, and model optimization.
• Own services end to end from design to production and operation with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and operates the services and AI-powered features behind Moody's intelligent data products.
• Design, code, test, and operate backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and inference pipelines for real-time and batch AI workloads.
• Own delivery of features end to end from design through deployment, monitoring and support.
• Build and enhance large language model features using retrieval augmented generation and orchestration frameworks.
• Contribute to technical designs, reviews, risks, constraints, and trade-offs.
• Maintain engineering excellence via automated testing, reviews, observability, monitoring, and on-call readiness.
• Apply ML operations practices including prompt versioning, evaluation, deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, ML engineers, and engineers to translate requirements into reliable software.
