Job summary

Ofcom is seeking a Senior Age Assurance and Digital Identity Technology Advisor to shape policy and guidance on Age Assurance and Digital Identity within online safety. The role combines desk research with technical analysis and collaboration across policy, enforcement and legal teams.

You will translate complex concepts for senior leaders and external stakeholders, lead multidisciplinary research, and contribute to regulatory thinking and industry partnerships in this fast-moving area.

Qualifications

• Educated at degree level in a relevant engineering or science subject.
• Experience researching and evaluating Age Assurance or Digital Identity technologies.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for policy and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on Age Assurance and Digital Identity to policy, supervision and enforcement teams.
• Advise on the technical feasibility and risks of proposed regulatory interventions.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations for leaders and external stakeholders.
• Lead research projects and develop an evidence base to inform policy decisions.
