Job summary

Triumph is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive the definition, development, integration and certification of advanced hydro and electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full lifecycle. The role offers architectural direction, supplier performance oversight, and governance of system integrity on a long-term development program.

The candidate will shape departmental practices, promote technical innovation, and guide teams toward scalable solutions within a defense environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Strong systems engineering capabilities and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level requirements definition, traceability, and validation in accordance with customer needs and regulatory expectations.
• Define system boundaries, operational concepts, and architectural frameworks for actuation and control systems.
• Own the creation and control of system architectures, functional models, and interface definitions across mechanical, software, and electronics.
• Develop complex control systems within a secure and highly regulated defence environment.
• Provide technical oversight for the design and development actuation systems, including integration of motors, braking mechanisms, sensors, solenoids, control electronics and other components.
