Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work on complex aerospace projects, delivering structural analysis across metallic and composite aircraft structures on-site in the UK.

You will size and analyze structures, perform FEA, assess fatigue/damage tolerance, and produce calculations while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with internal stakeholders.

Eligible for SC clearance; positions in Brough near Hull, Warton near Preston, or Prestwick in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a STEM discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong background in aircraft structural analysis.
• Experience with metallic and composite structures.
• Finite Element Analysis experience.
• Previous experience in a design or structures engineering environment.
• Ability to operate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong reporting and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Structural sizing and analysis.
• Finite Element Analysis.
• Fatigue and damage tolerance assessments.
• Producing engineering calculations using hand calculations and software tools.
• Demonstrating compliance against certification and programme requirements.
• Leading and delivering analysis tasks for yourself and other members of the team.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
• Working with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
