Job summary

Moog Controls Ltd. is seeking a Senior Development Process Assurance Engineer to provide independent QA oversight across software, hardware and test software within aerospace programs.

You will assess development processes, identify risks, and drive improvements while partnering with engineering, program management and quality leadership. The role involves auditing, tailoring assurance methodologies to programs, and supporting audits with a focus on DO-178C/DO-254 and related standards.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting audits, assessments or compliance reviews against established engineering processes and standards.
• Understanding of engineering lifecycle processes including requirements management, systems engineering, verification/validation, configuration management, problem reporting and change control.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to influence stakeholders across functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent assessments, audits and reviews of engineering development activities and work products for compliance.
• Tailor assurance tools to programs while maintaining alignment with Development Process Assurance requirements.
• Evaluate lifecycle activities including requirements, design, verification, validation and change control.
• Identify nonconformances, gaps and risks; drive effective corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Monitor project quality metrics and report status, risks and process effectiveness to leadership.
• Serve as trusted advisor on development assurance expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Lead training and awareness on Development Process Assurance methodologies.
• Support regulatory, customer and internal audits as required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction; support continuous improvement.
• Travel to Moog locations as needed.
